Occupational Summary

Duke Health is establishing a Digital Enablement Team to provide a durable throughline to rapidly move digital and AI-enabled solutions from idea to pilot to readiness for scale. The Integrations Solutions IT Consultant provides dedicated integration expertise, defining and developing reusable patterns across clinical, operational, and partner platforms and supporting their transition into durable platform service teams.

The consultant designs integration architecture using APIs, HL7/FHIR, messaging, and reusable interface patterns. The role partners with product, engineering, clinical, operational, vendor, and platform service teams to deliver interoperability solutions that are reliable, scalable, observable, and supportable.

Success in this role requires strong organization, technical documentation, and Agile delivery skills. The consultant translates clinical, operational, and partner needs into practical integration patterns, technical requirements, and implementation-ready solutions.
